But my roommate is watching The Matrix for class (something about dystopian society or whatnot), and all I'm doing is staring at the awfulness of Neo/Trinity and then giggling and slashing Tank/Dozer...and Agent Smith/Morpheus. Or even Neo/Morpheus. C'mon people. Work with me here. Or at least pat me on the head and back away slowly.

ETA: Okay, someone tell me that there's an SGA AU in The Matrix-universe. Of course, it's probably McKay/Sheppard, lol, but still, it has to be out there. If not, I'm very, very disappointed in you, fandom. You fail.

Would the SGA world just be like another attempt by the machines to control mankind? A way to accommodate everyone? And say like in this world Miko or someone completely unexpected is THE ONE. Or Michael. Oooh, yeah. Michael is THE ONE. And the Wraith aren't evil, they're just trying to save people from the matrix. But this Matrix is a bit different and things aren't resolved by easy pills anymore. And besides the Wraith are less patient. Don't want to give anyone choices. Just save them all.

And I've not seen this movie in years.
And I really, really, really should go to sleep.

I've only seen the first film all the way through. I tried watching the second, but I was fearful for my nerd who had a big gay crush on Neo (no, seriously, he followed Neo around everywhere and was all, "You saved me, Neo! I want to be your friend!" and Neo kept getting flustered and running away). I didn't want to see him die, so I stopped watching it.

Oooh, that would be an awesome fic. Seriously. Oh, oh, the whole "draining your life" could actually be draining the life of the machine that's controlling you, so you "die" and wake up in the dead-machine. So instead of eating millions, they're trying to save millions.

Or something.

No wonder Michael got pissed, the Lanteans pulled him back into the Matrix (but unconnected?). The Wraith don't like him because he is disconnected, but more fully in the Matrix than they. And because he's is THE ONE and deep down, all those lil' Wraith Queens are jealous. I'm sure there could be a deeper reason too, but that'd come later.

Oooh... the people the Wraith save-- become Wraith.

What about John though? Hm... Wraith offered him a way out, but John refused. John, too, now knows the truth about the world. He, too, can be THE ONE.

John and Michael should totally become Super Heroes together and save anyone. B/c really-- who's gonna listen to the Wraith?

What would happen to the people who didn't get completely drained by the Wraith, like Sumner or Gall? Would they just be dead-dead and not out of the Matrix? Sucks to be them. Hey, the fic could involve Abrams! (What? He had pretty hair.)

Oooh, Wraith!Abrams. And, um, other people who've got eaten by Wraith. There's got to be more than that. Oh, that Athosian guy. *grin*

*laughs* John and Michael should become Super Heroes. It'd be awesome. And later Rodney can gripe about having two people be The One makes no sense, and John and Michael can ignore him. *grins*

I've seen at least one, and possibly more, SGA/Matrix AU, and yes, it was McShep. Don't ask me to find it; I doubt I could, but you could ask at sgastoryfinders or whatever that comm is.

*laughs* Man, someday I'm just going to flip out and write an essay entitled "Expanding My Horizons: How I Stopped Obsessing Over McShep and Realized They Weren't the Only Characters on the Show." Or something.

I mean, there are some amazing McShep writers out there. The only problem is, that's all they write. I like variety, dangit. Um. Yes. Done with my rant. *slinks off*

...And now I've been thinking of an SGA/Matrix AU. Dang. Like I need another plotbunny.

But seriously, Sheppard as Neo and Weir as Trinity. Elizabeth would be all badass, and Sheppard would probably be wishing he'd taken the blue pill. (He probably flipped a coin on which pill to take too, lol.) And then there could be McKay/Zelenka in the background, and McKay could be that Operator guy that always saves everyone's asses, only he'd be bitching about everyone's utter stupidity and how he's the only intelligent one there, and how no one appreciates that he's the only one keeping them from being martyrs rather than heroes. Dunno who'd be the traitor. Or Morpheus. Or the Oracle.

...Yeah. Thinking too much on this.
