Feeling Stupid

So, I was having a good day. Then I got on CollegeBoard and accessed my SAT scores.

Turned out I did worse my second go-round of the SATs. Now I'm feeling really stupid and am going to have to admit to my mom that 79% of those who took the SATs is smarter than me at math and that no, I'm too stupid to even get a 1100 on the bloody SATs. Hell, I wasn't even close.

I just...feel stupid. Really stupid. I mean, I thought I did well, and I didn't even get a 1100. I didn't come close. Hell, even if the straight C students were talking about how they'd gotten in the 1100s.... I just feel like a dumbass. A total dumbass.

The SATs are stupid. Seriously, I'm not sure they actually measure anything except how good you are at taking the SATs. As Mr. McCoy said, "life is an essay question." Life is not multiple choice, and you are not stupid.

Don't feel bad about it. Standardized tests are meaningless, anyways, and a lot of schools don't put too much emphasis on them any more. They definitely don't measure intelligence. You're not stupid.
