National Book Festival

cinaedOne nice thing about being in College Park is that you can hop on the Metro and less than an hour later be on the Mall, strolling around the National Book Festival. :)
I went yesterday, and saw John Green, Walter Dean Meyers, and Jerry Spinelli speak. Then I got a few autographs, RL Stine for my brother, Walter Dean Meyers for my mom, and Jerry Spinelli for myself. *pets autographed copy of Manic Magee. It was a lot of fun, and everyone seemed like smart and lovely people.
And then I stayed home today and did homework and paused for an hour or two to read a novel from the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong and re-watch the musical episode of Scrubs before going back to annotating picture books for my children's lit class. Ah, the fabulous life of a grad student. *laughs*
