My Yuletide reveal!

This year I wrote two stories, one for my original recipient and the other for a pinch-hit. Both were a lot of fun to write.

My original story:

Summary:

Madelyn Mack had fully intended to leave her dear friend Nora Preston neé Noraker ensconced in the arms of matrimony. When threatening letters begin arriving at The Bugle, however, Madelyn, Nora, and Thorny find themselves drawn into yet another case.

I'll admit, when I saw who my recipient was this year, I rolled around laughing in delight and a little bit of panic for a few minutes. Melannen wrote ME a Madelyn Mack fanfic in 2009 and created a small fandom because she is just that awesome. (And her fic is just amazing, a Madelyn Mack/Sherlock Holmes crossover, with Madelyn/Nora and John/Sherlock and epistolary! Check it out: Silver Buttons All Down Her Back)

But this was a lot of fun to write-- I don't write a lot of stories with poly relationships, but the Madelyn/Nora/Thorny dynamic is *such* a poly one. And it was a lot of fun to create my own little case file.

This was a lot of fun to write. Hanna was one of the most visually stunning movies I've ever seen, and I loved Hanna and Sophie's dynamics-- they're both so *young.* After the movie, I desperately wanted them to have a happy ending together, and when I saw musesfool's awesome prompt, I knew I had to write it. :)
