*dies* So I got the third season of The Closer on DVD, got to watch some episodes I'd missed. Apparently there was a Christmas special and oh my god, I love my old man OTP. Why is there not a bunch of slash about them? Is it because they're older? They're still awesome! :(
But seriously, this episode is ridiculously slashy for them. There are scenes like, oh, this one:
(Flynn and Provenza try to climb the RV steps together, then look up and realize that they're standing under a mistletoe together. For a moment, they give each other unreadable looks, as though 'oh crap, have we been found out?' and then Flynn-- the younger one-- begins to grin wickedly. Provenza eyes him, looking worried, and then rolls his eyes.)
Provenza: Don't even think about it, Flynn. (flees up the steps as Flynn, still smirking, follows behind him)
(Later)
Brenda's father: Now the RV only fits five people, so we'll be stopping at several fancy RV hotels, where Lieutenants Flynn and Provenza will disembark for the night and get some shut-eye.
(Provenza and Flynn pointedly don't look at each other)
Shut-eye. Suuuuure. *snickers* Also, sharing a hotel room for four straight nights. Isn't that a slasher's dream? ;)
God, I love this episode. (Well, up until the point it gets horribly depressing, but hey, that's my show.)
