Mar. 14th, 2008 11:27 amI made 2 lists, one of SGA/SG-1 characters and one of AU settings.
For the characters, pick two numbers between 1 and 24.
For the AU settings, pick one number between 1 and 12.
Then I will tell you what characters & AU setting you have picked and what it would be like (or possibly write a snippet from it).
AUs so far: Graham Simmons and Jack O'Neill in a spy AU.
Teal'c and Paul Davis in a firefighter AU.
Laura Cadman and Radek Zelenka in a circus AU.
Radek Zelenka and Vala Mal Doran in an Enchanted Forest Chronicles AU.

Date: 2008-03-15 02:09 am (UTC)Laura would definitely be the Woman Who Juggles Fire, one of the circus's main attractions. She can juggle pretty much anything you set on fire without burning her hands. She also helps Elizabeth, who owns the circus, with the miniature cannons and whatnot, anything that involves explosions.
She doesn't think much of Zelenka when he first comes to the circus. He's not particularly striking and he doesn't have an imposing presence, and you need one or the other to make it in the circus life. But then she overhears Zelenka and Elizabeth discussing a possible new attraction and realizes that Zelenka understands what will draw in crowds and that he's here to help Elizabeth keep the circus from going under. After that, she doesn't tease him quite as much.

Date: 2008-03-15 11:13 pm (UTC)Graham Simmons a star-eyed newcomer to the spy world and the CIA decides to force a grumpy Crazy Jack -- one of the oldest active spies who's cheated death countless times -- to be his mentor. They don't want the newbie to get himself killed on the first mission out, after all.
They are supposed to spy on the world-famous scientist Samantha Carter, known by the scientific community for her ground-breaking theories in the field of astrophysics, believed to be a traitor to the United States by the CIA. She teaches at a small but prestigious college on the west coast.
Graham and Jack are supposed to do surveillance on her, so Graham enrolls at the college and gets into several of her classes while Jack pretends to be a professor of something-or-other-that-no-one-cares-about-but-it-looks-good-for-the-college. Of course, Graham falls head over heels for her and pines away, she and Jack have snarky banter and UST, and there's a whole plot involving jealous scientists trying to frame Sam as a traitor and kidnapping her brother Mark and his family, so Sam, Jack, and Graham head off to save the Carter family and clear Sam's name.

Date: 2008-03-15 11:25 pm (UTC)Okay, so Teal'c is a firefighter and gets injured saving people's lives, because he's awesome like that. Paul Davis is the safety guy for the firehouse who keeps trying to remind Teal'c that getting himself injured is a bad thing and could he please try to be more careful?
Teal'c just sort of looks at him. After these sorts of conversations Paul goes for a drink and grouses about how Teal'c is the most bull-headed man he's ever met to Teal'c's boss, Fire Chief Hammond. Okay, oftentimes a few drinks. Especially if that psychiatrist Dr. Jackson at the hospital starts trying to analyze him while he's visiting Teal'c. Doesn't that man have a life?

Date: 2008-03-15 11:53 pm (UTC)Anyways, Vala Mal Doran and Radek Zelenka in an Enchanted Forest Chronicles AU. (If you've never read the Enchanted Forest Chronicles, it's by Patricia Wrede and is a bit of a parody about fairy tales.)
Vala Mal Doran is a woman with a problem. You see, she'd been happily masquerading as a long-lost princess who'd been trapped by a spell in the Enchanted Forest for centuries. Only recently freed from the spell, she's told sympathetic listeners about how her kingdom no longer even exists and 'gratefully' accepted their gifts and help.
However, she didn't realize that one of the younger dragons might take it into his head that a princess without a kingdom would mean no bothersome knights or angry kings wanting her back, and is less than amused when he snatches her up one day. His cave is disgusting and he actually expects her to clean. If she'd wanted to clean and work, she would have stayed the chambermaid she'd once been.
She tries to escape, repeatedly, and finally befriends the other princesses other of pure boredom. Learning of the Rescue Princess Network they have going (send a would-be rescuer to another cave where a more suitable princess waits), Vala sees her chance.
Finally, someone sends a knight (of sorts) over to her. His name is Radek, he's actually not a knight, more of a commoner who'd managed to convince his local blacksmith to let him borrow a sword, and he's...not entirely enthusiastic about the possibility of fighting a dragon. He'd really rather be a magician and study magic, his true passion, but his family desperately needs the money or else they'll lose the home they've had for generations.
He rescues Vala and is dismayed to find out that she has no kingdom or riches to speak of. However, he's willing to go along with her latest plan to make a fortune and split it fifty-fifty, and finds himself tagging along on that and other adventures.
