Snagged from...someone. *can't remember*
One book that changed your life: The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. Okay, this book didn't so much change my life as change my way of looking at storytelling. And it was the first time I liked an award-winning book. *glares daggers at The Giver* I probably carried my copy of The Thief around in my book-bag for most of middle and high school.
One book you have read more than once: The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede, which is delightfully snarky and clever. Also, it makes me want an AU where Elizabeth is Cimorene, John is Mendanbar, Rodney is Telemain, and Radek is Morwen.
One book you would want on a desert island: If I was trapped for years? A survival book. If just a couple weeks? ...A less complicated survival book. *shifty eyes*
One book that made you laugh: The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchett. It was the book that got me into Pratchett (thank you, Laura) and I've reread it two or three times since.
One book that made you cry: Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce.
One book you wish had been written: Er. It probably has, but a fantasy book where twins aren't considered evil or bad luck.
One book you wish had never been written: I don't remember the author or titles, but anything by that one "teenage author" who wrote about vampires and did a self-insert. Ugh. How did she get published?
One book you are currently reading: Er, between books at the moment, but I just finished rereading The Ragwitch by Garth Nix.
One book you have been meaning to read: The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury.

Date: 2007-11-19 11:11 pm (UTC)Was it Amelia Atwater-Rhodes? I remember reading one of her books and thinking WHY WHY WHY did she publish this now—she could have waited three years and made it so much better.
