Guess who got out of class 45 minutes early? Yes, that would be me.
Therefore, I am having a quick lunch, then going to the bank and depositing that check Mom's been at me to deposit for weeks now. And then going to the used bookstore I told you about,
blue_raven. Hopefully I'll find some stuff for you. If not, I'm sure I'll find some stuff for me. *shifty eyes, looks guiltily at my stack of Isaac Asimov books from my first trip there*
ETA: And this is why I restrict myself to that place one trip per semester. ;) Spent $14.23 in one go. Of course, it was $14.23 for, er, six books, one of which on its own would've cost me $24 brand-new.
I found you two books,
blue_raven!
Eastern Europe in the Soviet Shadow by Harry Shwartz
Eastern Europe A to Z by Robert S. Kane
And then for myself I got:
I never saw another butterfly (Children's Drawings and Poems from Terezin Concentration Camp, 1942-1944)
The Postman by David Brin
Sweet Valley High #1: Double Love by Francine Pascal (And yes, I know we were just talking about how much this series sucked, Ange, but it was $1 and I fail at life)
The Music of the Spheres by Elizabeth Redfern

Date: 2007-03-20 08:08 pm (UTC)I don't know if it delivers, but if you want me to poke around for particular books for you, just give the word. There's a lot of Russian history books.
And yeah, the Butterfly one is going to be depressing, heh. Oh well.
