It was a Very Good Day
Oct. 24th, 2004 09:18 pmHad a GREAT Saturday night and Sunday.
Went to Chrissy's because I was home alone, watched a ghost show and it freaked me out, called Chrissy and it turned out she was home alone too and bored. So she picked me up and we went to the mall, and got manga.
*grin* I got the second volume of Chrono Crusade--Rosette's brother is blonde, hot, and psycho--all very fun things. And I got the fifth volume of NOW, which I've been waiting for three months to get. I could've gotten the third and fourth volumes of Shaman King but decided to wait until there was a sale. ^_^
Then I slept over, and we went to the mall again because my horrible reffing got cancelled. I love the rain. Rain is glorious. It should rain more often. *nods nods* But we drove to the mall again and Chrissy got the latest Petshop. I'll get to read it once she's done with it.
All in all, a very satisfying weekend. Oh, and our high school got on the news last night. Good old Valley. If anyone watched Channel 7's eleven o'clock news, we were the ones who complained about the dance regulations. We were on the front page of the Washington Post on Friday as well.
...I am also very proud of my school. A girl with Down's Syndrome won Homecoming Queen. Of course, no one would resist voting for Lauren. She's such a sweetheart. But I'm still proud of our school for not being considered with looks and instead looked for the person for most deserved Homecoming Queen.
