Hello, Yuletide Writer!

First off, relax, and thank you for participating! I hope you enjoy Yuletide this year.

As you may guess from my requests, I like gen and relationships of any variety (het, femslash, slash, threesomes or moresomes).

Stuff I love includes but is not limited to: found families, epistolary/documentary, friends to lovers, hurt/comfort, pretend couples (that turn into real couples), friends with benefits, people showing their care and concern by feeding the other person, gardening, fix-its, missing scenes, and futurefic.

I'm not really into explicit sex scenes, but feel free to write one if you want. Stuff I don't want, unless otherwise stated in that particular request, is: infidelity/adultery, character death, and non-con/dub-con.

Aldonza

Whenever I see the musical on stage or listen to the soundtrack, I always end up wondering what sort of adventures Aldonza and Sancho get up to afterwards. I would love to see Aldonza as Dulcinea, a knight-errant herself, venturing forth with Sancho at her side, righting wrongs and helping people along the way. Some Aldonza and Sancho friendship with found family goodness would also be great!

Also, I’ll be delighted by Aldonza gen, but if you want to do a relationship, I wouldn’t say no to Aldonza falling in love with a female original character.

Doctor Faustus – Christopher Marlowe

John Faustus, Mephistopheles

Although I usually am not into dubcon, I am fascinated by the messed up relationship between Faustus and Mephistopheles. They’re both using the other and have control over the other in ways that make consent dubious on both sides. I mean, on the one hand, you have Mephistopheles as Faustus’s servant and who is compelled to do whatever Faustus wishes for the agreed time. On the other hand, Mephistopheles exerts his own control over Faustus and manipulates him into selling his soul and being damned to hell.

If you’re more comfortable with gen, I’d love to see a missing scene of them interacting during those twenty-five years or even maybe something post-play—does Mephistopheles interact with Faustus in hell at all? If so, what does he do or say to Faustus?

A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens

Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley

Let me tell you of my love of Scrooge and Marley. Marley is a ghost doomed to wander the world because of his indifference to man, but still manages to come and visit Scrooge, unseen and unheard, multiple times, until one Christmas Eve he can finally warn and save his only friend. But we hear nothing more of Marley after his appearance. Is he still doomed to walk the earth forever?

I’d love to see an exploration of their dynamic (as a friendship or relationship), a missing scene on how they became Scrooge and Marley as we knew them in the book, or maybe a post-canon story in which Scrooge finally dies and then learns that Marley is still wandering the earth and tries to set things right for the man who saved him from a similar fate.

Boy Meets World

Eric Matthews, Jack Hunter

Although I love everyone on the show, Eric and Jack are definitely my favorites. I love how Jack keeps Eric from going too overboard, but Eric also brings out Jack’s better nature and encourages him to step outside his comfort zone. I love their friendship, but I’d also love something where they’re dating.

Some ideas might be post-finale when Jack and Rachel are still in the Peace Corps and writing and calling home to Eric in New York City, or what happens after their stint in the Peace Corps ends, or even maybe an alternate universe where Eric joins them in the Peace Corps. I love Rachel, so please let her be friends with Eric and Jack if you include her in the story. I also love Eric’s relationship with Mr. Feeney, so feel free to include him in the story as well if you want!

Shane – Jack Shaefer

Joe Starrett, Marian Starrett, Shane

Shane is one of the few westerns I honestly love, and one of the reasons is the relationship between these three. I love Joe and Marian’s marriage, and how Shane disrupts their lives in both small and larger ways. I would love to see them navigate their way into a threesome, with mutual respect and love between all three.

If you’d prefer not to have that relationship, I’d also really enjoy just a missing scene where all three are interacting at a meal or something, or a post-canon story of what would happen if Shane ever returned.

18^th Century Fencers RPF

So, funny story, I read Tom Reiss’s The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, and the Real Count of Monte Cristo, all about General Alex Dumas, the half-black father of Alexandre Dumas (who wrote The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo, among others), and fell into history fandom and haven’t come out again. Along the way, I also became fascinated by the Chevalier de Saint-Georges (another half-black aristocrat who was Europe’s best fencer before he decided to retire at the age of twenty or so and become France’s best violinist and composer instead) and Chevalier d’Eon (a dragoon and spy who at the age of forty-nine admitted to being a woman and lived as woman until dying thirty-three years later, whereupon was revealed to be biologically male, and who has been the object of discussion ever since).

I would honestly love anything you write about these three! As usual, I would love either friendship or relationship for any of them. Some ideas, taken from their actual historical interactions:

Saint-Georges practicing fencing with the younger Dumas, and maybe how they got along when Dumas served underneath Saint-Georges during the French Revolution in the Légion St.-Georges, the first all-black military regiment in Europe. Did Dumas believe Saint-Georges innocent when he was arrested and accused of selling horses?
Saint-Georges and d’Eon’s fencing match in England—what really happened? Did they talk beforehand or afterwards? As a young man, Saint-Georges might have met d’Eon before d’Eon’s exile, so what does he think of d’Eon after all this time?
…okay, I can’t actually think of how d’Eon and Dumas would interact, but I am certain it would be interesting! Especially since I suspect their fencing styles would be much more similar than d’Eon and Dumas’s.

Please, feel free to go wild—this is my lone fandom this year where I would love outlandish crossovers or AUs—Dumas and/or Saint-Georges meeting Georges Pontmercy from Les Miserables during the Revolution! Saint-Georges and d’Eon as cold war spies! Everyone in SPACE! A Temeraire crossover/fusion where Dumas is a captain, and d’Eon captains a Longwing!
