Comment with a story I've written, and I will tell you one thing I knew, learned, or wondered about while writing the story that didn't make it onto the page.
Oh man, you had to pick one of my most depressing fics ever, didn't you? A lot didn't make it onto the page, since it was from Radek's majorly screwed up POV, and I wound up not writing a sequel.
When Radek and Rodney were screwed up by whatever Ancient tech did this, Sam Carter was sent to Atlantis to try and solve the problem. But when he and Radek were informed of this, Rodney freaked out about being replaced, enough that he was giving himself seizures and hurting himself.
Everyone on Atlantis wound up promising Rodney that they were sending Sam back to Earth (they lied), and so Rodney and Radek don't realize Sam is on Atlantis, trying to figure out how to heal them and also to keep Atlantis together without their two smartest scientists.
What can I say, I really liked the abstract feel to it. You can feel how messed up everyone is, but it feels natural, like why wouldn't you be insane? Radek's almost-contentedness is beautifully contrasted to Rodney's desperation.
...Of course, now that I have backstory...oh,Rodney. ;.;
