Another awesome steampunk poem
And finally a major YA book series recommendation: Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. You guys, it's WWI steampunk with two varieties (some countries are Clankers, which means they have steampunk machinery; others are Darwinists, which means they have fiddled with DNA and created stuff like living, breathing, thinking airships), an awesome crossdressing girl, a dorky Austrian prince, and tons of politics that aren't actually British-focused! The whole second book is set in the Ottoman Empire and there's no 'We are White People, Let Us Save You' crap going on.
