Pagan's Crusade

I have to say, when I first began to read it, the way it was written (stream-of-thought, sort of) didn't appeal to me. By the time I finished it though, I adored the characters and the writing style was the only way that would've really worked for the book. I must admit to having a fondness for the name Roland that comes from watching my best friend play "Valkyrie Profile" for hours on end, but I really did love both the main character the squire Pagan and his Templar Knight Roland. I'm also a bit flattered that Katie who gave me the book said Jinks' characters reminded her of my quirky ones.

I'm definitely planning on reading the rest of the series, although I'm dreading it a bit at the same time. Not much goes right during the age of the Crusades, and after watching "Kingdom of Heaven" I know a bit about Suliman's reign.....

Ah, well, Chrissy's home and I found my Patsy Cline CD I thought I'd lost. I'm also 9,000 words into my novel and still going strong. *beams* Yet again, another great day.
