This is a bad year for writers, it seems
Dec. 12th, 2007 12:11 pmIn the past year we've lost a lot of big name authors: Lloyd Alexander, Kurt Vonnegut, Madeleine L'Engle, Robert Jordan.
And now it seems that Terry Pratchett has been diagnosed with a rare type of early-onset Alzheimer's. (Read about it here in his own words.) Now, they seem to have caught it early and he himself has pointed out that he's not dead yet, but still, I can't imagine what he's going through. Just thinking about that clever, brilliant mind being lost to Alzheimer's is very upsetting.
*shakes head* This has been such a bad year.
