Meredith McKay and Radka Zelenka -
Meredith McKay would be similar in temperament as Rodney was, only now she'll have to endure the constant "must be on her period" jokes which will probably send her into constant spiels about what stupid, misogynistic pigs men are. Her hair will probably be short and spiky.
Radka McKay would be also the same as Radek, really. Still be snarky and brilliant and argue with Meredith a lot. Keeps her hair in a messy sort of bun and ignores Meredith when she threatens to sneak into her quarters one night and cut off all her hair.
They would both still despise children, and despair at the people who are all, "You should be married and have kids by now!" One reason Radka goes to Atlantis-- to get away from her mother's constant, "Your sister already has a son! Why don't you find a nice man and get married, settle down, stop messing around with that silly engineering job?" Which Meredith completely understands because look at her sister, Jeannie, who could've been amazing in the scientific community, and instead decided to make babies.
(Side note: Quite a few of the male scientists and soldiers make snide remarks about Meredith always being on her period -- until the other female scientists and soldiers start enacting revenge because yes, Meredith may be a bitch, but that "she must be on her period" crap pisses them all off.)
Everyone would stare at Sheppard when he asked for both Teyla and Meredith on his team and then all place bets on which one he's sleeping with. And Meredith would find out and go bitching to Radka because, ew, and hello, how has no one heard about how she was exiled to Siberia for ahem, supposedly sexually harassing Sam Carter?
Teyla is amused by Meredith and wonders if most women on Earth are this, ah, forward, but studies Elizabeth and the other women on the expedition and supposes not.
Meredith's first meeting of Ronon: Meredith would be dangling upside down and end up trying to use the "You can't leave a helpless woman like this!" line on him. (Hey, she's all for gender equality unless something's slanted in her favor.)
Hm, possible titles for a Meredith/Radka fic:
The girl with the weight of the world in her hands (from "The Girl With the Weight of the World In Her Hands" by The Indigo Girls)
She is familiar with moon size, with tide changes (from "A Mermaid Questions God" by Kelli Russell Agodon)
