Summer Reading, Guilt Trips....
Aug. 30th, 2004 10:48 pmYeah, so I got guilt-tripped into joining a chorale group. I must resign myself to three hours of practice every Sunday. I'm not quite sure how my mother did it. At least it's not /all/ church music -- there are quite a few lovely Robert Frost poems put to music.
I go back to school on September 7th. I still have two books to read for my AP English class.... The Poisonwood Bible and A Prayer for Owen Meany. Both of which I'm fairly certain will scar me. And are over 500 pages. Each. Yeah, about that.... ;-)
On a happier note, I actually sent a story off to a magazine. I'll just be pleased with a personal rejection. ;-) Now, however, I'm stuck writing short stories. My novel is stuck at one section. *sigh* I'll go back to it soon. Just work on one or two short stories before then.
