TV Show Recs?

Yeah, I haven't even started my 35-hour week of work and I'm already exhausted just thinking about it, so in an attempt to cheer myself up, I decided to think about what boxsets I can buy with my first paycheck.

Anyone have any suggestions? I know I'll get SG-1 S9 at some point, if just to see Vala and Cameron, but otherwise, I don't know what TV shows are good.

To give you a clue as to what I like, here are the boxsets I already have:

SG-1 S1-8
SGA 1-2
Without a Trace S1
Numb3rs S1
House, M.D. S1
Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1

I mean, I guess I could just play catch-up on the TV shows I already have? *ponders* And maybe get Joan of Arcadia S1-2. I loved that show.

If you haven't already, you should definitely try out "Firefly." It's by the All Powerful Joss, He Who Created "Buffy" And All That Was Good, and it's only 13 episodes. Cheap to buy. Plus, it's a sci-fi western. Two things you think would never work, but yet somehow do.

I also suggest the rest of "House," because House and Wilson and their inherent gayness win at life. You might want to give "Criminal Minds" a spin. It's like "CSI," except bloodier, and with more teh gay.

I do need to buy "Firefly." I've seen most of the episodes, but that's definitely one to own. *grin*

And I will look into getting the rest of House, especially since House/Wilson means no House/Cameron *shudders* And I will look into "Criminal Minds" because gay!CSI-ness = awesomeness. :) Thanks for the suggestions.

I second Firefly. Dear God, that show is made of awesome. Or Doctor Who. Also awesome, but I would go so far as to say that Firefly is more awesome.

I loved Numb3rs until midway through season 3, I think. I had become rather accustomed to my favorite characters being killed off, so when what happened to Larry happened to Larry, well...color me surprised.

...What happened to Larry? He's my favorite. *pats him worriedly* If he gets killed off, I don't know if I'll buy S2 and 3. Rent it, maybe, but not buy it.

No, he doesn't get killed off. But he does leave the show. In a rather implausible way.

Rest of House rocks. Doctor Who, Torchwood, the new Battlestar Galactica (which is like the best drama in tv atm no question) and also Supernatural (come to the dark side...)

Oh Torchwood. *pats it and its Jack/Ianto goodness* I want a SG-1/SGA/TW crossover with Teyla/Toshiko or Vala/Toshiko, darnit. ;)

I've seen the first few episodes of Supernatural. Season 2 is also good? I might have to buy and finish the first season. :)

Traders. Teh Hewlett was in it for 5 seasons. It was a quirky Canadian drama. DH played a woobie.
