Merry Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2004 09:23 amMerry Christmas to everyone!
I hope you all have/had/will have a lovely holdiay. I am very much pleased with my presents. Mommy got me FOUR Dar Williams CDs (mostly because I got her hooked too and she wants to steal them, but still....) and Dad got me DVDs of Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. *salivates over Andrew Lloyd Webber*
My only complaint is that my anime which I ordered off Therightstuff.com didn't arrive before Christmas. I ordered it 8 weeks ago, damnit, and paid for the 2-6 weeks delivery. I sent them an overly-cheerfuly-trying-not-to-SOUND-bitter email that they prolly won't get to until after New Years. *sigh*
But otherwise it's been a great day! I hafta go over and give my best friend her presents (the first four volumes of Naruto and a book on Alexander the Great -- might I add the first volume of Naruto has a shiny cover, of which they only made 5,000 copies).
Thus, I shall end with my quotations of the week.
LAST MONDAY
Chrissy: So, I've already guessed what you're getting me, but I'm not gonna tell you what I think it is.
Me: Yeah, I think I know what you're getting me. *visions of the elusive Dragon Hunter Volume 6 dance in my head*
THIS MONDAY
Chrissy: I was flipping through DH Volume 8 and there was this cool plot twist. You need to buy Volume 6 so you can figure out the plot twist!
Me: Oh, sure, I will whenever it comes into sto--wait, that's not what you're getting me for Christmas?
Chrissy: *stares and shakes head*
Me: Oh.... Then I have no clue what you're getting me for Christmas.
Chrissy: *laughs her ass off*
THIS WEDNESDAY
Chrissy: *sitting in her car before school, shoving Yu-Gi-Oh wrapped presents at me* Open 'em, open 'em!
Me: *opens them, sees the first four volumes of One Piece in absolute perfect condition* Oooh..... *suddenly realizes that I only have one volume for her* Er.... I, uh, left your present at home?
Chrissy: *blinks*
Me: *sweatdrops* Okay, actually I need to go and buy you more manga....
Chrissy: *snickers*

Date: 2004-12-25 04:03 pm (UTC)I got a video camera for Christmas (yeh!), so now I get to record my sons, playing music, snowboarding, skateboarding, sleeping (they're going to hate me soon). Oh, and I used it to get a short clip of my cat, Jack, in an empty box, jumping up to attack a string while Matt hummed the Jack-in-a-Box song.
Here's wishing you and yours the best this holiday. (Hugs to your dad.)
