cinaed: This fic was supposed to be short (Good Omens)

Step One
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. Avenue Q (2003 Original Broadway Cast) CD. I want it *whimpers* It is just an amusing and crazy Broadway musical, but I can't ask my mother to buy it for me because, well...one of the songs is about pornography....heh.... *shifty eyes* Like I said, a unique show. *has been listening to sound clips off Amazon*

2. An icon of Kid Blink/Jack 'Cowboy' Kelly from Disney's Newsies. It's canon, I tell you! Kid Blink gets the shite beaten out of him for his lovebunny Jack...who runs off with a /girl/ the ungrateful wretch. But there's gotta be a Kid Blink/Jack Kelly icon out there somewhere.

3. American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Everyone I've known who's read it liked it a lot, and he did do Good Omens with Terry Pratchett...and it's about Norse mythology. *hugs Loki*

4. Stravaganza: City of Flowers by Mary Hoffman. Final book in an enthralling series where people get sent over to other worlds that are similiar to ours...except imagine being stuck in 16th century Venice where the currency is silver instead of gold. ^^ And the main character of this book is a biracial kid! Should be fasinating if I can ever get it, lol.

5. Wizards at War by Diane Duane. ...Do I really need to explain? It's Diane Duane. It's So You Want to be a Wizard....

6. The Will Of The Empress by Tamora Pierce. Everyone from The Circle of Magic and The Circle Opens series gets reunited! Briar! *loves on him* I cannot wait to see how they interact after two years apart.... And I want to see the Empress try to "keep" those four. Heh. She doesn't know what she's in for.

7. Another icon, yet again Newsies (hey, addictions for Disney can be fun!) - this time Jack Kelly/Spot Conlan or David Jacobs/Spot Conlan.... What can I say, even my bastard Brooklyn-born father can't ruin Spot Conlan's Brooklyn bravado for me. If it's Jack/Spot, I always see (since their noses are almost touching and they look like they want to snog):

Jack Kelly: So what do you say, Spot?
Spot Conlan: I say... that what you say... is what I say.

8. The DVD of "Boiler Room" Vin Diesel *acts* in this, and the interaction between all the characters is wonderful, and there is real character development. I...can't ask my mom for it though, because, well, Boiler Room is rated R for profanity...and drug use. ^^;;

9. An amazing fanfic with Draco/Neville as the pairing. I've already read A.J. Hall's stories though, so...but I love that pairing. I do, especially if it's well-written and believable, like A.J. Hall's was. *advertises 'Lust Over Pendle'*

10. And my brain's now...dead...and needs sleep to resicusitate, so I am using the 'surprise me' card. *grins*
