Sometimes I forget why I agonize over fic exchanges, and then I actually get my gift(s) and they're EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED.

No, seriously, you guys. You guys. So I got TWO delightful and amazing stories from the Not Prime Time exchange!

First I received the "Javert and Fauchelevent meet at the tobacconist's and Fauchelevent finds out the truth about Valjean" fic of MY DREAMS.

It is like someone looked into my brain and wrote down everything I daydreamed about this encounter and Fauchelevent speaking to Valjean afterwards and then turned it into a fic. It is SO GOOD.

I also received a lovely Musketeers fic, set pre-series, that is a wonderful take on Porthos and Aramis meeting for the first time, shortly after Aramis comes back from Savoy.

It captures them so well, and even if Aramis is still misunderstanding Porthos a lot, there's also a hint at how good of friends they'll become, and it's just a great fic.
