*clings* I dun wanna be an adult....
Aug. 6th, 2004 05:39 pmFriggin' hell.... I'm going to be 18 tomorrow!
My brain has just now comprehended this, and I am not amused. I mean, what's so great about turning eighteen? You're now legal to get tried as an adult, you can smoke (but that's too expensive a habit to start), your twin brother's forced to sign up for the Selective Service, your parents can now legally kick you out of the house, and you get everyone on your case about whether you're going to vote in the next election.
Joy.
Not to mention none of my friends can come to the family birthday party tomorrow. That means I'll be subjected to all of my brother's stupid friends and a bunch of my old relatives. *sigh* What's the point of having a birthday party with no one there that you can talk to?
Oh well, at least I can look forward to the presents. Maybe if I get enough money I can go to WorldCon. My dad's job is sort of flaky right now, and he keeps wavering between letting me and my mom go or saving the money.
Anyway, I'm going to go right some shounen ai. That should cheer me up. Hey! One good thing to note: I can now buy adult manga for both me and my best friend. Yay!
