Isn't It Ironic?

I got my report card for the first nine weeks of my senior year.

A+ in Keyboarding
A+ in Latin 3 (Something I'm actually proud of)
B+ in Environmental Exploration
B in Adv. Algebra with Trig.
B in Comparative Religions
C+ in AP English
B in US Government

Is anyone else amused at the irony that I, the one that wants to major in Creative Writing, have my English class as my lowest grade of the marking period? Of course, my teacher pulls grades out of his ass, so I don't care, but I'm a bit amused (especially since Mum didn't seem to care either and didn't yell like she usually does).

So....1/4 of the school year is over and done with. Tomorrow I go to the head of the English Department to try and get the English Club started. That should be...interesting. Then I'll get on with college applications and applying for scholarships.

'Tis amusing--I also tend to get my lowest grades in math and English--two subjects I love and understand. Most of the math class assignments are incredibly boring busywork (except for my class this year, Calculus, which is actully interesting and difficult) and most of the English faculty either teach out of the book or just aren't used to having students who actually like and are good with English.

Good luck with the English Club and college applications/scholarships.

Sounds familiar; my friend who wants to be a physics major's failing physics right now. It'll all work out.
