Crossing Jordan -- My Latest Addiction

Silence, you. *glares at whoever saw the subject and started snickering, because I know someone did*
Anyways...yes, I've started watching Crossing Jordan. It's on A & E on weekdays at 11 at night, and it's amazing. Total twists that leave you staring at the screen and going, "Holy shit!" and intriguing characters that sometimes you want to hug and other times you want to slap.
The one thing that upsets me about the show is that there is no DVD version of it. For some reason the producers aren't making DVDs of it so you can't get the first season or anything like that. I just don't freaking get it. I mean, if Tru Calling can get on DVD (which, admittedly, was a show I adored, but only had one full season and a handful of other episodes), then an awesome show like Crossing Jordan with a few seasons under its belt should be on fricking DVD!
*huffs*
Anyways, here's an overview of the show.
Plot Outline: (From NBC.com)
Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh, a sexy, smart and fearless Boston medical examiner with a checkered career past who works under the guidance of Dr. Garret Macy. Her unorthodox methods constantly test her professional and personal relationship with Detective Woodrow "Woody" Hoyt, who the coroners rely on to put in the legwork to hunt down the life-size perpetrators of the crimes they investigate.
Additional support for the cop and the coroner team is provided by grief counselor Lily Lebowski, forensic entomologist "Bug" and criminalist Nigel. Working alongside Cavanaugh is Dr. Devan Maguire, and the "new guy," Dr. Sidney Trumaine.
Characters: (From A & E's website, NBC.com and TV Acres)
Jordan Cavannaugh (Played by Jill Hennessy)

Jordan is a forensic pathologist. Born and raised in south Boston, she is passionate about her work as a medical examiner at the Boston Coroner’s Office. She reports to Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Garret Macy, who often overlooks Jordan’s headstrong insubordination because she is so good at her job. Jordan is used to living on the edge and not censoring herself. She immediately lets people know what's on her mind, and is often sarcastic and bitter and, well, sarcastic. She does have a soft side, and that is why she tends to get too involved in her latest case, often disregarding orders and going beyond her regular occupation as medical examiner.
Garret Macy (Played by Miguel Ferrer)

Forensic examiner Dr. Garret Macy is a complex man who still manages to maintain a reasonable degree of normalcy. He is the man in charge, and takes his role very seriously, often butting heads with Jordan. He has had tragedies in his life, often involving his family. He is divorced and has a shaky relationship with his daughter, who's dropped out of college.
Mahesh "Bug" Vijayaraghavensatanaryanamurthy (Played by Ravi Kapoor)

Yes, that's his actual last name. This is why people call him Bug. Bug, who despite appearing to be permanently unfulfilled, has the heart of a romantic idealist beating within him. Bug is constantly looking for purity and perfection which is always going to lead to an infinite series of disappointments. He is the resident entomologist (study of insects), which also led to his nickname. He was raised in Liverpool, and attended Oxford and Harvard. He is an extremely shy guy, and often hides his insecurities behind sarcasm.
Nigel Townsend (Played by Steve Valentine)

While he is unorthodox in his approach to his work and the people he works with, there is something amusing and charming about him, and Nigel is definitely unorthodox. Nigel is a quirky criminalist/forensics expert -- and ex-British soldier. The wise-cracking British criminologist of ambiguous sexual orientation is often known for his dry humor and his knowledge of everything from coffee to textiles. Nigel ran away from the Royal Navy, where he was a counter-intelligence officer. He also has a very shaky relationship with his father.
Lily Lebowski (Played by Kathryn Hahn)

Lily was originally a receptionist and “in-take girl” for the state coroner’s office. Later on she became the grief counselor. She's very soulful and, at the same time, has a lot to learn about life, so there's a vulnerability there.
Woody Hoyt (Played by Jerry O'Connell)

Woody is the police muscle for the medical examiner’s office and very much desires a little more attention from Jordan -- there is a lot of UST between them, and they have even attempted (and failed at) dating. A native of Wisconsin, Woody works with Jordan and her team to help solve crimes and must grapple with Jordan's unorthodox methods. Seem by some as a bit naïve, he is determined to do his job properly and follow the letter of the law.
Quotations: (From IMDB and TV.com)
Dr. Nigel Townsend: So if I killed my husband, where would I stash the body?
Jordan: If you killed your husband you'd have to start in the closet.
Woody: I have been meaning to ask you why do they call you Bug?
Bug: Because I like insects. Why do they call you Woody?
Woody: Why are you here again?
Macy: Get your coat.
Dr. Peter Winslow: But it's pouring!
Macy: We're like the post office. Neither rain, nor sleet...
Nigel Townsend: I paid seven homeless people to go dumpster diving for me.
Macy: Whose money did you use?
Nigel Townsend: Yours.
Jordan: She had all these drugs in her system?
Nigel: Xanax and Prozac and Valium…oh my.
Jordan: What?
Nigel: Oh, nothing. I just realized how tradgically boring my life is.
...Can we already tell my favorite characters for the quotations? *shifty eyes* Anyways, watch. I command thee!
